"Karthikeya" is a 2014 Telugu-language mystery-thriller film that was produced by Venkat Srinivas and directed by Chandoo Mondeti. With Tanikella Bharani, Rao Ramesh, and Jayaprakash playing supporting parts, the film stars Nikhil Siddharth and Swathi Reddy in the key roles.
The story takes place in Subramanyapuram, a small town famous for housing the Lord Subramanya Temple. A medical student named Karthik (Nikhil Siddharth) comes to the community to finish his internship. Karthik discovers the widespread affliction of a mysterious sickness in the community while working in a hospital. There are many deaths being caused by the illness, which appears to be spreading quickly.
Karthik begins looking into the issue with his pal Vishnu (Karthik Kumar).
As they delve further into the mystery, Karthik and Vishnu learn some startling realities about the temple and the people connected to it. They learn that the temple priests have been working behind the scenes to develop a drug that can treat any illness. The studies, however, went horribly wrong, and the medication has now been transformed into a deadly virus that is sweeping the community.
